Veronika Nikishina held senior positions at the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, was Deputy Director of the Department of Trade Negotiations, headed the Department of the Countries of America and the Department of Coordination, Development and Regulation of Foreign Economic Activity.
Thanks to 17 years of work at the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, Veronika Nikishina has extensive experience in the areas of identification and elimination of various trade barriers, application of trade protection measures, veterinary and sanitary-phytosanitary measures, as well as experience in international negotiations.
Prior to her appointment as a member of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, she held the position of the Assistant to the First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation.
Veronika Nikishina became a Member of the Board (Minister) for Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission in February 2016. She supervised a number of areas essential for the Eurasian Economic Union, such as customs tariff and non-tariff regulation, establishment of preferential trade regimes with third countries (free trade areas), application of protective measures by the Eurasian Economic Union.
Veronika Nikishina took the position of the Director General of the Russian Export Center, JSC on February 10, 2020.
She is a Candidate of Economic Sciences, defended her thesis on “Managing the access of the Russian goods to foreign markets under modern conditions”.
