VITO PETROCELLI

Senator, Chairperson of the Standing Committee for External Relations of the Senate of Italy

Vito was born in Taranto on February 8, 1964.

He was awarded a bachelor’s degree in geology from the University of Bari.

Vito was responsible for environmental protection matters, was engaged in professional training, and provided technical aid to the public administration.

In 2013, he was elected as a senator in the Basilicata Region constituency for the Five Star Movement.

Since April 2013, Vito was the Secretary of the Senate’s Commission for Industry.

Since July 2016, he was a member of the Commission for Foreign Affairs and Immigration.

Vito also held the position of the Deputy Chairperson of the Commission for Italians Abroad and was a member of the Commission for the Control of Activities of the Bodies Responsible for Compulsory Pension Provision and Social Welfare.

He was engaged with energy matters.

In 2018, Vito Petrocelli was elected as a senator in the Basilicata Region constituency for the Five Star Movement.

On June 21, 2018, he was elected as the Chairperson of the Commission for Foreign Affairs and Immigration.
